Carve your way through a deadly jungle

Blocky Craft is a free exploration and shooting game. The goal is to explore a jungle, where any item of scenery can be destroyed to make a tunnel. This feature encourages creativity, but take care not to run into hostile wildlife in the process.

The game takes its cue from Minecraft and other variations of that well-known title, like Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition. At the same time, however, Blocky Craft uses a distinct set of gameplay elements that help to distinguish it from its model.

Minecraft goes to the jungle

If you have ever played Minecraft or its various imitations, then you will be at home with the basic mechanics of Blocky Craft. The game puts you into an environment made up of cubes that can be hacked away using a variety of tools and weapons. You'll also face enemies that can be fought with the same implements.

More fighting than crafting

The game differs from Minecraft in that you can harvest blocks of different materials, but there is little emphasis on crafting. Instead, the game is based more on fighting and survival. It's set in a jungle, where you'll run into alligators, jaguars, hostile tribesmen, and other deadly foes who are out to kill you.

A range of weapons

You start the game with a pickaxe that can be used as a tool for mining and a weapon. Ranged weapons can also be found — arrows are easy to come by, and if you're lucky, you might find a pistol that offers unlimited rounds. These will be useful, particularly given that some tribesmen will shoot arrows at you.

Vast but same

While the gaming area in Blocky Craft is vast and will take plenty of time to explore, there is a lack of variety in landscapes. The main appeal is from running into enemies.

PROS

  • Range of weapons to use
  • Choose between fighting and exploring

CONS

  • Lacks Minecraft's crafting aspect
  • Environments lack variety
